Job summary

McAllen Independent School District is seeking a Cybersecurity Project Specialist to lead security projects, provide technology support for district security operations and police solutions, and ensure secure, reliable computing across schools.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or 8 years technology experience, CJIS policy knowledge, strong communications, and ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and networks; willingness to work irregular hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 8 years technology experience in lieu of degree.
• High School diploma is required.
• CJIS Security Policy knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
• Experience with Windows and MacOS, network hardware and wireless setups.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of assigned technology security projects and define high-quality results.
• Provide technology support for district security operations and Police Department solutions.
• Coordinate and manage allocation of technology staff to support projects.
• Develop communication plans for assigned projects using multiple mediums.
• Provide excellent customer service to district users in technology solutions and issue resolution.
• Develop and implement training plans for users during and after deployment.
• Coordinate with vendors to deliver high-quality project results.
• Develop process documentation to ensure replication of the process.
