Role: K-12 Construction Project Manager

Location: DFW Metroplex

Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview

We are partnering with a well-established DFW-based General Contractor to hire two experienced K-12 Construction Project Managers due to an active and growing education project pipeline. These are urgent hires supporting large-scale renovation and addition projects, including work valued at $35M and $100M.

This opportunity is ideal for Project Managers with strong experience delivering K-12 projects in occupied campus environments, particularly complex renovations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage K-12 construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Lead large-scale renovation and addition projects on active school campuses
  • Oversee project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and change management
  • Work closely with Superintendents to manage site execution and schedules
  • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure scope and quality alignment
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for owners, architects, and district stakeholders
  • Lead project meetings, reporting, and documentation
  • Ensure safety, quality, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager on K-12 construction projects
  • Strong background in renovation and addition work (not solely ground-up)
  • Experience managing projects typically $20M+ in value
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and scheduling
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience working in the DFW construction market preferred
