Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbia, SC is seeking a Juvenile Corrections Security Officer - Credential Access to help safeguard government facilities, manage entry points, verify credentials, and assist visitors with professionalism.

This full-time driving post requires a valid driver's license, the ability to monitor access, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents while delivering courteous service to staff and youth.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen as per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide security procedures and emergency responses for staff and visitors.
• Monitor government facility entrances, verify IDs, issue visitor credentials, and log access.
• Observe and report unusual activity and policy violations per procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document actions taken.
• Conduct patrols to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
