Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbia, SC is seeking a Junior Correctional Security Officer - Badging to serve and safeguard government juvenile justice locations. You will manage access control, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, and at least 6 months of security experience; background check and drug screen are part of employment; on-site shifts with morning/afternoon

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and authorized personnel while carrying out access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor logs and control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and report security concerns.
• Document incidents and communicate information to site leadership and emergency personnel.
