Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Juvenile Correctional Security Officer - Site Access in Ridgeville, SC to manage access control, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and patrol facilities. This full-time driving position emphasizes professional communication and security technology use to protect youth residents and staff.

You will provide staff and visitor assistance, enforce site policies, and coordinate with emergency responders as needed.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, youth residents, and authorized guests.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old (or 21+ for armed roles).
• Background check and drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, youth residents, and authorized guests by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals according to facility procedures.
• Control access to restricted areas and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with facility staff and or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
