Job summary

Nordex North America seeks a Service Technician I to support wind energy operations in Montana. You will perform routine turbine maintenance, assist with troubleshooting, and document maintenance activities to help ensure high availability and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 0–2 years in wind energy or related fields, and are comfortable working at heights up to 300 feet. The role requires physical stamina and occasional travel for training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical wind energy or engineering education preferred.
• 0-2 years of wind energy or related field experience.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work at heights up to 300 feet and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine wind turbine maintenance and basic repairs.
• Assist with troubleshooting under guidance of experienced technicians.
• Complete maintenance reports and manage service tickets.
• Support inventory and material management, including receiving and tracking parts.
• Prepare tools and documentation for scheduled work.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE inspections.
