Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a Service Technician I to ensure safe and efficient operation of wind turbine generators. You will perform routine maintenance and basic repairs, troubleshoot equipment, and support service tickets on-site at wind farms.

This role requires hands-on work, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with operations and back-office teams. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 0-2 years in wind energy or related fields, and the ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/wind energy/engineering education preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in wind energy or related fields.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for training or site support.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine wind turbine maintenance and basic repairs following procedures.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues under guidance.
• Complete maintenance reports and manage service tickets.
• Support inventory and material management, including parts and tools.
• Prepare tools, materials, and documentation for scheduled work.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE inspections, and incident reporting.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and turbine performance.
• Collaborate with team and support other site operations as needed.
