Job summary

Reworld is hiring a Waste Process Technician I in Gary, Indiana. This entry-level role focuses on safe waste processing, QA/QC, and material handling, including forklift operation and equipment use in a recycling/processing environment.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1+ year experience, and the ability to pass a respirator fit test; NetSuite and MS Office skills are desired. The role requires lifting up to 50 lb and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; GED Works program available.
• 1+ year of experience in related role.
• Able to pass respirator fit test.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual tasks.
• Proficient with NetSuite and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Understand facility permit requirements and safety/compliance duties.
• Operate equipment including pressure washers, power tools, forklifts per policies.
• Safely operate mobile equipment within site boundaries.
• Off-load inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.
• Process inbound material via facility and mobile equipment.
• Conduct waste QA/QC & Lab analysis for receiving/shipping.
• Complete facility paperwork and maintain safety/regulatory records.
• General cleaning of facility and grounds.
