Job summary

BrightView Landscapes LLC is seeking a Climber I to join our tree care team in Phoenix. You will perform pruning, cabling, bracing, lightning protection, and removals, supporting the crew with debris handling and site cleanup.

Responsibilities include safe tree access, operating chippers and blowers, using chainsaws, and maintaining PPE and job safety. Physical work and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Demonstration of role specific skills or verifiable requisite experience.
• Able to follow directions and procedures related to roping and rigging, equipment maintenance, and reporting malfunctions.
• Read and interpret sales orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to perform mathematical operations using weight, volume, and distance
• Ability to estimate weight, volume and distance for arboricultural work
• Critical thinking to solve practical problems with limited standardization
• Effective communication: hand signals with climbers and directing the public
• Able to become EHAP, First-Aid and CPR certified
• Strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Perform basic tree care operations such as pruning and limb removal on the ground and in trees up to 60 feet.
• Access a tree safely per protocols after inspections and move through canopy to remove branches.
• Safely operate powered equipment like chippers, trucks, and blowers.
• Basic to intermediate chainsaw skills in ground and canopy techniques.
• Use hand tools to perform tree care tasks.
• Wear PPE per industry standards and company protocols.
• Maintain a safe and organized work zone.
• Implement plans to prevent property damage and personal injury during operations.
