Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an entry-level engineer to support mechanical, electrical, and software activities at the Bettis Site. You will design and procure mechanical test equipment, plan LO/TO procedures, and develop LabView software for NI control systems, while coordinating with vendors and shipyards as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field and demonstrates strong verbal communication and test engineering skills to oversee laboratory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering (related field).
• Strong verbal communication and test engineering skills to plan and oversee lab test programs.
• Experience with LabView, MATLAB, ProE Creo or SolidWorks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designing and procuring mechanical test equipment.
• Planning, troubleshooting, and implementing Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures for electrical systems and instrumentation work.
• Developing and maintaining LabView software for National Instruments control systems.
