Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is hiring an Electrical Engineer or Computer Engineer to join the System Verification and Validation Unit. The role focuses on testing and troubleshooting hardware and software in shipboard embedded control systems, ensuring reliability for naval reactors and subsystems.

Candidates should have a technical degree with 2–4+ years of relevant experience or higher, and be prepared to work in a collaborative lab environment with hands-on testing and qualification

Qualifications

Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in a technical, engineering, or science field with required experience.
Experience in testing and troubleshooting hardware/software in embedded systems.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Develop test procedures and automated methods for hardware/software qualification.
Perform hands-on and automated testing to verify designs.
Troubleshoot issues discovered during test and fleet operation.
Become a subject matter expert in I&C system design, operation, and maintenance.
