Job summary

SEI Investments Company is seeking a Junior Transactional Attorney to structure, draft, negotiate and manage commercial contracts across SEI’s business units. You will partner with product, operations and client teams to ensure regulatory compliance and risk governance in every agreement.

The role emphasizes drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts (NDAs, licenses, MSAs, SPAs, SaaS, BPO, software development) and advising stakeholders on positions and issues arising during negotiations.

Qualifications

• Experience in transactional/corporate matters.
• Ability to effectively prioritize work and business needs.
• Comfort with a dynamic, often-changing environment.
• Detail oriented, flexible and a collaborative team player.
• A high degree of multi-tasking capability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Authorization to practice law in one or more jurisdictions within the United States.
• Willingness to travel, if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, negotiating and advising stakeholders with respect to commercial contracts using SEI templates and standards;
• Educating internal clients with respect to the positions and issues that arise during contractual negotiations;
• Working with internal clients to solve legal, risk and business issues that arise in commercial transactions;
• Understanding and applying regulatory changes to new and existing contracts;
• Managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects;
• Participating in various activities related to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and third party risk management;
• Populating and maintaining contract files and repositories.
