SEI seeks a Junior Transactional Attorney to draft, negotiate and manage commercial contracts across SEI business units. In the role of Junior Transactional Attorney (“Attorney”), you will be responsible for working with numerous SEI business teams and other members of the Legal, Compliance, Risk and Corporate Development Department to structure, draft, negotiate and manage the execution of commercial contracts on behalf of the SEI group of companies. You will manage various types of commercial arrangements (e.g. confidentiality agreements, software licenses, master services agreements, professional services agreements, SaaS agreements, business process outsourcing agreements, and software development agreements) with customers to ensure consistency with SEI’s risk and governance structures, contractual commitments and regulatory compliance obligations. You will work closely with internal product and operations teams, vendor owners, new business development teams, client relationship teams, and executives in various business and competency units to support their efforts while also ensuring such parties’ adherence to applicable standards and procedures. In addition, you will deal directly with third parties while representing SEI’s interests. Experience within the financial services or financial technology industry will be a differentiator for potential candidates.
To be considered candidates must demonstrate the following to the satisfaction of SEI: Experience in transactional/corporate matters Ability to effectively prioritize work and business needs Comfort with a dynamic, often-changing environment Detail oriented, flexible and a collaborative team player A high degree of multi-tasking capability Strong written and verbal communication skills Authorization to practice law in one or more jurisdictions within the United States. Willingness to travel, if necessary.
