Job summary

Noblis is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the FHWA Intelligent Transportation Systems programs. You will help shape concepts of operations, requirements, and system designs for smart road initiatives.

The role involves analyzing SE documentation, performing traceability checks, and developing white papers. Collaboration with standards bodies and multiple contractors is expected, with field-testing of ITS technologies.

Qualifications

BS in a related technical area.
Strong analytical ability.
Experience in developing products and systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with transportation systems.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. permanent resident with 3 years residency.

Responsibilities

Develop SE content: operations concepts, requirements and system design elements.
Analyze SE documentation from Standards Development Organizations and ITS programs.
Perform traceability checks and thread assessments on SE outputs.
Develop white papers and presentations on SE topics.
Evaluate standards deployment outreach tools and ensure conformance to ITS standards.
Plan and execute interoperability field tests on ITS technologies.
