Job summary

Optics 1, Inc. in Bedford, NH is seeking a Systems Administrator I to support end users, install software/hardware, and maintain corporate IT systems across office, satellite, and remote workflows. The role includes imaging computers, troubleshooting server/desktop issues, and documenting fixes.

Candidates should have a related degree or equivalent experience, MS 365 proficiency, and the ability to work in a team with occasional after-hours support. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, or technical diploma in CS or related field
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA) desired
• Up to 2 years as Help Desk/Systems Admin supporting end-users
• Experience with server, desktop, and printer hardware
• Proficiency in MS 365
• Experience with ticketing systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Teamwork and customer service orientation
• U.S. Citizenship is required

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support in a Windows 11 environment for line-of-business apps
• On/off-boarding of new employees (laptop, phone, desk, badging)
• Provide limited server hardware and software support
• Support network infrastructure hardware (switches, routers, APs, printers)
• Assist IT projects and document results
• Develop standard processes and ensure tasks finish on schedule
