Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated engineer to perform structural calculations and support substation project design.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering background, 0–2 years of experience in power delivery, and familiarity with design tools like SAP2000, STAAD, and AutoCAD. A U.S. driver's license and FE/EIT readiness are preferred while the firm commits to ongoing career development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited school.
• 0–2 years experience, primarily in the Power delivery sector.
• FE Exam preferred; EIT certification strongly desired; Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Proficiency with design software used for substation structures and foundations.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations for steel and reinforced concrete structures and foundations under supervision.
• Support and interface with design and drafting groups.
• Use software to design substation structures and foundations.
• Prepare engineering reports, specifications, drawings, and deliverables for design projects.
• Provide input across design phases and ensure safety and standards compliance.
• Coordinate with allied disciplines to develop deliverables.
