Job summary

ROI Agency in Houston, TX seeks a Structural Engineer II to perform structural analysis, design, and evaluation of substation and utility infrastructure with limited supervision. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers to ensure quality and compliance.

The role requires ABET-accredited Civil/Structural engineering, a PE license (or near-term attainment), and 5–8 years of relevant substation experience, with strong knowledge of ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318, NESC and

Qualifications

ABET-accredited Civil or Structural Engineering degree is required.
PE license or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
5–8 years of structural design experience, with substations preferred.
Strong knowledge of structural design principles and building codes.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, and foundations for substation/utility projects.
Prepare calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, and management teams for integrated delivery.
Mentor Engineer I staff and review junior work.
Support field activities, RFIs, site visits, and project estimations.
