Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Associate Substation Protection and Controls Engineer to join our Power Delivery division, supporting utility substation projects nationwide. You will work under a licensed professional and develop skills in substation engineering while growing independence.

You will assist project teams with protection and control design, perform basic calculations, prepare drawings and technical reports, and collaborate across disciplines to improve project execution and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Basic understanding of the utility grid and electric power principles.
• Strong focus on quality and deliverables; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with protection and control design on utility substation projects.
• Perform basic engineering calculations to support design.
• Follow the Quality Control Plan while completing assignments.
• Assist with preparation of project deliverables including drawings, technical reports, and correspondence.
• Collaborate with other substation disciplines as required.
• Help develop processes to improve project execution efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records and organization.
• Seek to improve technical knowledge and understanding.
