Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Substation Protection & Control Engineer to design protection and control projects for electric utilities from 12kV to 500kV. The role includes preparing drawings, studies, and reports, with opportunities for growth and leadership.

The position offers hybrid work with 2–3 days in an office and travel to project sites, including Portland, OR, as needed. A Bachelor's in EE and solid P&C experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of substation protection design and/or field testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan electric transmission, distribution, and substation facilities.
• Prepare single-lines, schematics, and wiring designs for substations.
• Perform quality control checks on wiring designs.
• Develop studies and reports for transmission and distribution systems.
• Support complete project lifecycle from scoping to implementation.
• Coordinate with client standards and other disciplines.
