Job summary

Opportunities in Hazel Crest, IL is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Engineer I) in Structures to support design, development, analysis, testing and documentation of mechanical components, assemblies, and equipment under the guidance of senior staff.

You will create and revise drawings using CAD, participate in ECNs and product qualification, develop BOMs, and collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing and quality teams to drive improvements while maintaining compliance with

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Internship, co-op, senior design project, or other practical engineering experience preferred
• Experience with 3D CAD software is a plus
• Familiarity with engineering drawing standards and documentation practices

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing mechanical components, systems, and assemblies.
• Create and revise CAD drawings, models, and documentation.
• Support ECNs, design releases, and configuration management.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses.
• Assist with prototype development, testing, and root-cause investigations.
• Contribute to product improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and sourcing.
• Develop BOMs and maintain engineering documentation.
