Lanco IEM is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer- Structural & Cab Team to provide senior technical leadership in Hazel Crest, IL. You will translate engineering direction into executable plans, mentor engineers, and lead complex design assignments for machinery, structures, and cabins.

You will work with cross-functional teams, develop 3D/2D drawings, perform calculations, review tolerances, and ensure compliance with standards. Domestic travel up to 10% may be required; relocation available.

Qualificações

• Accredited engineering degree in mechanical/structural discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive mechanical/structural design experience leading complex projects.
• Strong CAD skills in 3D/2D drawing software (Inventor/AutoCAD/SolidWorks).
• Experience with releases, ECNs, and product documentation.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs aligned with product, quality, manufacturability, and business objectives.
• Serve as SME for complex mechanical and structural systems including machine structures, winches, motors, enclosures, and operator cabs.
• Develop connection designs and guide decisions on tolerances, fits, and manufacturing considerations.
• Prepare and review layouts, assemblies, and installation drawings with proper annotations.
• Lead project teams, identify risks, and guide work to milestones.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical coaching on complex topics.
• Collaborate across disciplines and stakeholders to ensure design integrity.
