Job summary

Mi-Jack Products, Inc. in Hazel Crest, IL is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer-Structures to design, analyze, test, and document mechanical components and assemblies.

You will work under senior staff to develop skills while contributing to product development and continuous improvement. You will design components, revise drawings, support ECNs, perform basic calculations, assist with prototyping and testing, and collaborate across functions to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Internship, co-op, senior design project, or practical engineering experience preferred.
• Experience using 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or Creo.
• Familiarity with engineering documentation and drawing standards.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, structures, hydraulics, or mobile equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of mechanical components, systems, and assemblies.
• Create and revise engineering drawings, models, and documentation using CAD software.
• Support ECNs, design releases, and configuration management processes.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses to support design.
• Assist with prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations.
• Participate in product improvement, cost reduction, quality improvement, and standardization initiatives.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, service, and other teams to support development and production.
• Develop BOMs and maintain engineering documentation in company systems.
• Support validation and verification activities, including test planning and reporting.
