Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking early career engineers for mechanical and structural engineering projects located primarily at Cape Canaveral, FL. Candidates should have a BS Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, with a strong foundation in design and analysis.

The position includes participation in the entire design cycle and integration of hardware. Benefits include health insurance, paid parental leave, and a robust 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Earned a degree within the last year and able to start by Fall 2026.
• Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with machining and building mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Your projects may include design, analysis, and test of mechanical systems.
• Participate in the assembly and test of development and flight hardware.
• Assist in identifying and implementing design changes to improve reliability.

Skills

Basic understanding in the fundamentals of design

Basic proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo Pro/E preferred)

Basic proficiency in strength and mechanics of materials

Basic proficiency in structural analysis

Relevant internship/co-op experience

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexible and adaptable mindset

Self-driven with minimal direction

Education

BS Degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering

MS degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering (desired)

Tools

ANSYS (Finite Element Analysis preferred)
