Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking engineers for multiple locations to contribute to the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical and propulsion systems. You will participate in the full design cycle and support development and flight hardware assembly and testing.

Qualifications include a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering, with recent grads able to start by Fall 2027, plus familiarity with CAD, FEA, and GD&T. Locations include Seattle, Huntsville, Cape Canaveral, Denver, and Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering; recent graduate able to start Fall 2027.
• Fundamentals of design: requirements, material selection, interfaces, etc.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo Pro/E preferred) including drawing creation.
• Strong understanding of strength and mechanics of materials.
• Experience with structural analysis including FEA (ANSYS preferred).
• Relevant internship/co-op or hands-on experience showing technical skills and leadership.
• Ability to work independently and in a team on rapid development programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze and test mechanical systems, propulsion systems and structures.
• Integrate materials, processes, manufacturing, test, operations and systems engineering.
• Participate in full design cycle from requirements derivation to qualification.
• Assist in assembly and test of development and flight hardware.
• Identify design changes to improve reliability and reduce operational cost.
• Duties subject to business unit objectives.
