Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL is seeking engineers to support mechanical and propulsion hardware across development programs. You will contribute to design, analysis, and testing of components, and collaborate with teams to ensure safety and reliability of spaceflight systems.

Responsibilities include end-to-end design cycle, structural analysis, and testing activities, with opportunities to grow through hands-on experience and leadership on rapid development programs.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field.
• MS degree preferred.
• Basic understanding of design fundamentals and material selection.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD (Creo Pro/E) and drawing creation.
• Experience with structural analysis and FEA (ANSYS).
• Internship/Co-op or hands-on experience demonstrating technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Perform design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems, propulsion systems, and structures.
• Participate in full design cycle from requirements to qualification.
• Assist in assembly, testing, data reduction, and analysis of hardware.
• Identify and implement design changes to improve reliability and reduce costs.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to meet program objectives.
