Job summary

IMEG is hiring for a structural engineer to assist in design and analysis of building structures, working with diverse materials and codes. You will interact with clients, support project planning, and help prepare construction documents while collaborating in a multidisciplinary team.

This in-office, full-time role offers ESOP ownership, a strong mentorship program, and exposure to healthcare, education, and civic projects across the Midwest.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of design techniques for steel, concrete, wood, masonry.
• Experience with engineering software and tools for structural analysis and design.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of structural systems per codes and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical info.
• Support project execution and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and client instructions.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and propose solutions.
• Participate in quality control to meet IMEG standards.
