Job summary

IMEG seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer with a BS in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering and an MS in Structural Engineering to join our team. You will design, analyze, and document structural systems, work with clients to understand project needs, and contribute to planning and design decisions across disciplines.

This role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with engineering software and BIM, and the ability to travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• MS degree required; Master’s in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of design techniques and standards for steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and structural systems.
• Strong technical and analytical skills related to structural mechanics and materials.
• Familiarity with industry-standard engineering software and structural analysis/design tools.
• Basic knowledge of BIM software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in teams.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills; eager to learn.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays.
• Preferred: internship experience in building design consulting and EIT license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems using building materials and engineering software to create designs, specifications, and calculations.
• Interact with clients to understand project needs, gather requirements, and communicate technical information.
• Support consulting project execution as part of a project team.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and documenting design decisions while monitoring progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and collaborate with senior engineers to develop solutions.
• Participate in quality control processes to meet IMEG standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends and contribute to innovation efforts.
• Prioritize safety and work ethically with multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage in full project life cycle from conception to construction, including construction administration duties.
• Work within project budgets with cross-functional teams.
