Job summary

Degenkolb Engineers seeks an entry-level Structural Engineer/Designer to begin a technically rigorous career across U.S. offices including Detroit and Grand Rapids. You will work alongside licensed engineers on seismic analysis, steel and concrete design, producing analysis, documents, and client-facing deliverables.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in structural engineering is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 1–2 years of highly technical design experience may qualify.
• Core proficiency demonstrated via advanced coursework or project experience in steel, concrete, analysis, dynamics, and earthquake engineering.
• Undergrad GPA 3.40+; provide transcripts if requested.
• US work authorization required for any employer.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under licensed engineers.
• Prepare contract documents and project deliverables.
• Participate in site visits and coordinate with clients and teams.
• Contribute to professional development and mentorship opportunities.
• Support project teams with documentation and coordination.
