Job summary

Degenkolb Engineers is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer/Designer to contribute to planning, analysis, and design of structures under the guidance of senior engineers. You’ll gain exposure to schematic design, contract documents, and site visits while building a foundation for professional licensure.

The role emphasizes mentorship, learning, and growth, with opportunities across offices including the West Coast and Midwest markets.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in structural engineering strongly preferred.
• Undergraduate GPA 3.40+ with strong graduate coursework expected.
• FE exam passing is a plus and highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under licensed engineers.
• Produce accurate, organized contract deliverables and drawings.
• Support client communications and collaborate with project teams.
• Participate in site visits to observe conditions and connect design decisions to construction.
• Pursue professional growth through mentorship and assignments.
• Take ownership and contribute to project success and office culture.
