Job summary

TYLin Buildings is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our team in Chicago. You will work with project teams on structural design and analysis for a variety of building types, contributing from concept through construction.

You will assist in drawings and specifications, perform site investigations, and conduct field reviews on projects under construction. A Bachelor's in Civil/Architectural Engineering with a focus on structures is required, with a Master’s degree considered an

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (with a focus on structures preferred).
• Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
• Passing of E.I.T. exam preferred.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in execution of commercial, institutional, or residential projects preferred.
• Familiarity with REVIT Structure preferred.
• Familiarity with computer analysis software (RISA, SAP, RAM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the project team to do the structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems from conceptual and preliminary design to completion.
• Assist in preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Perform field review for projects under construction.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
