Job summary

TYLin Buildings is seeking a Structural Engineer, Entry-Level to join our team in Chicago. Please include a cover letter and unofficial transcript with your application.

Responsibilities include assisting with structural design for diverse buildings, preparing drawings, conducting site investigations, and performing field reviews for projects under construction. A bachelor’s degree in civil/architectural engineering is required, with EIT preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (with a focus on structures preferred).
• Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
• Passing of E.I.T. exam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the project team to do the structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Perform field review for projects under construction.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
