Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an entry-level Civil/Structural Engineer in Missouri to support structural design tasks under supervision. You will assist in framing design, perform calculations, and contribute to construction documentation.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, knowledge of BIM software like Revit, and familiarity with IBC/ASCE7. Internship experience and EIT license are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field required
• Master's program in engineering preferred
• Internship in building design consulting preferred
• EIT license preferred
• Basic knowledge of BIM software including Revit
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Knowledge of steel and concrete design for buildings
• Familiarity with IBC and ASCE7 loading requirements
• Familiarity with structural analysis software (Risa, RAM, ETABS, SAP 2000)
• FEM is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical, organizational, and communication support under supervision
• Apply engineering fundamentals to design structural framing systems or components at an entry-level basis
• Formulate designs and analyses of structural framing systems with direction and assistance
• Conduct field measuring and checking at construction sites to verify existing conditions
• Prepare construction documents and coordinate with other disciplines for well-coordinated sets
• Coordinate with other disciplines for clash detection and load determination
• Review shop-drawing submittals to ensure design intent is met
• Maintain project files containing calculations and correspondence
• Perform related duties as assigned
