Burnett Specialists in The Woodlands, TX, is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to support the Accounting Department and the Controller with daily, monthly, and yearly tasks.

You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and audits, ensuring data integrity across AR, AP, GL, and intercompany activities. The role emphasizes accuracy, deadlines, and teamwork, with opportunities to contribute to special projects and improve financial processes.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Three years of accounting experience.
• Experience with Chempax or NetSuite (preferred) or other ERP system.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy.
• Team-oriented approach.
• Chemical industry experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and post adjusting, recurring and accrual journal entries.
• Reconcile daily bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
• Reconcile monthly AR and AP statements.
• Perform month-end closing activities and journal entry posting.
• Analyze and balance general ledger accounts; research discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist Controller with data compilation and monthly/yearly close.
• Audit support for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with senior staff on special projects.
• Provide support to sales and operations as needed.
