Job summary

TXB Stores is seeking a Staff Accountant in Bonham, TX. The role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions and assisting with the month end closing process, reporting to the Senior Accountant.

The successful candidate will work with a small team to keep the General Ledger accurate, support tax filings, and assist with store-related permits, inventory reconciliation, and related administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred. Relevant experience can substitute for education.
• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience as an Accountant.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with all levels of the company.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting functions.
• Assist with month-end close processes.
• Reconcile and analyze General Ledger accounts.
• Maintain GL integrity and supporting schedules.
• Assist with tax filings (Sales and Use Tax).
• Assist with inventory reconciliation and store-related permits.
