Ledgent Finance & Accounting in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a detail-oriented Jr. Staff Accountant to support the firm's financial operations.

The role involves maintaining accurate ledgers, assisting with monthly and year-end close, reconciliations, and supporting billing, trust accounting, and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 2–3 years of experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and excellent Excel skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
• Experience with accounting software and financial reporting systems.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting schedules.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Perform reconciliations of bank, credit card, trust accounts, and balance sheet.
• Assist with client billing, collections, and revenue tracking.
• Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, and management reporting packages.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with year-end audits, tax filings, and external accountant requests.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and accuracy.
