The Sicilian Butcher is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join our Phoenix-area concept. You will support the kitchen leadership, assist with food preparation, and help train the team to deliver high-quality Italian-inspired dishes in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years in a similar role, preferably with Italian cuisine, and hold a culinary degree or certification. A valid food handler’s permit and reliable attendance are required for this on-site role.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in a similar role (Junior Sous Chef, Line Cook, or equivalent).
• Experience in Italian cuisine preferred.
• Valid food handler’s permit and reliable attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Support Sous Chef and Kitchen Manager with food preparation and daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure consistency and quality by following signature recipes.
• Mentor kitchen staff on food safety and prep techniques.
• Lead on food safety, temperature control, and quality assurance.
• Oversee cooks and kitchen staff to maintain an efficient, clean workspace.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and controlling food costs.
• Support catering and events with seamless food prep and service.
