Job summary

SSA Group in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Jr Sous Chef to support the Sous Chef and lead BOH operations in a fast-paced kitchen. You will help prep, supervise staff, maintain safety standards, and ensure quality and guest satisfaction across locations.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in culinary, strong communication, and the ability to coach teammates, manage tasks, and adapt to varied shifts while upholding SSA’s 452 Hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in culinary operations.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Live out 452 Hospitality by delivering warm, memorable guest experiences.
• Ensure kitchen is prepped and staffed for daily operation.
• Oversee safety logs, temperatures, rotation and waste to maintain safety and quality.
• Supervise BOH staff, assign tasks, coach, and conduct reviews.
• Respond to guest feedback and communicate with operations management.
