Job summary

SSA Group is seeking a Jr Sous Chef in the Seattle area to lead kitchen operations, assist the Sous Chef, and ensure high standards of safety and guest experience. The role requires 1–2 years of culinary experience, strong communication, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will manage prep, staffing, and daily tasks, uphold sanitation, and collaborate with the team to deliver memorable service across locations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years culinary experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work varied hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead BOH prep and staffing for daily operations.
• Oversee kitchen duties to ensure safety, quality, and guest service standards.
• Coach and develop staff; conduct performance feedback and reviews.
• Maintain safety logs, hygiene practices, and equipment upkeep.
• Collaborate with Sous Chef to delegate tasks and ensure smooth service.
