Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an entry level Software Developer in Groton, CT. You will join the Monitoring & Control System Group to develop software for HM&E systems, using C++, Java, and PLC ladder logic across shipboard networks.

The role involves coding, testing, documentation, and collaboration with NAVSEA. Occasional travel may be required. A BS in a relevant engineering field and eligibility for DoD clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or related engineering field with electrical/computing concentration.
• Security clearance eligibility through DoD required.
• 0–5 years of post-graduate engineering experience relevant to the job.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and execute software code and unit tests.
• Support software functional qualification testing.
• Maintain cybersecurity, interfaces, and specifications.
• Maintain software requirements documentation.
• Support system qualification testing.
• Assist with logistics documentation and operating instructions.
• Prepare technical papers for NAVSEA.
