Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an Engineer - Systems in Groton, CT. The role requires coordinating with system engineering, design teams, vendors, NAVSEA, and the broader design community to ensure ship arrangements meet requirements.

Responsibilities include leading cross-group collaborations, performing cableway analyses, routing development, and presenting system status throughout design progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 0-5 years of post-graduate engineering experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the Department of Defense

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination efforts between system engineering, major area team leaders, program office, design and engineering, and leadership
• Lead coordination efforts between multi-system engineering groups and arrangements design
• Perform non-standard cableway hanger analysis
• Perform relative movement calculations, concepts, arrangement validation, cableway development, and cable routing development
• Support selling ships arrangements to the government
• Candidate must be organized and able to manage relationship between ships requirements and arrangement compliance
• Responsible for cost and schedule performance of assigned tasks
• Responsible for managing multiple projects and/or assigned tasks
• Responsible for developing and presenting system information/status as the design progresses
• Develop and peer review ERs /CNs
