Overview
Department 428 Electrical Systems is looking for a highly motivated software engineer to join the Monitoring & Control System Group.
The Monitoring & Control Systems Group is a COLUMBIA Program dedicated team responsible for the development of the Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) Monitoring and Control (HMC) system. The HMC system is a networked based system that provides signal conditioning and electrical flow paths for control, indication , monitoring, and alarms based on sensor ( e.g. temperature, pressure, salinity) data. HMC features comprehensive use of network switches, servers, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs ) and display panels located throughout the ship for monitoring and control. The HMC system develops and maintains the software code for all of the applications, including C++, J ava and ladder logic for PLCs.
