Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• 0–1 years of post‑graduate engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Providing engineering support to SUPSHIP during conformance audits and material turnover.
• Ensuring drawing revisions and change notices that support construction activities are being prioritized and worked.
• Acting as technical authority point of contact providing oversight for translation of drawings into work orders and instructions.
• Confirming that material procurement activities are completed in a manner that supports kit schedules.
• Developing list of auditable material and joints for use in the SUPSHIP audits.
• Provide engineering oversight to emergent shipyard issues that arise during construction.
• Provide surveillance of manufacturing inspection and testing of material at Quonset Point.
