Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join the Chinook Program and support an IC customer, contributing to an impactful GEOINT application. You’ll work with senior engineers in an Agile team, learning new technologies and owning software components while delivering secure, containerized solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

Eligibility requires US citizenship and a CS-related degree with 2–4 years of experience, with Master’s considered for fewer years.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is a contract requirement.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 2–4 years of experience, or a Master’s with less than 2 years.
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, test, and deploy software solutions under guidance of senior engineers.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests; troubleshoot defects.
• Work with REST APIs, databases, and services in an Agile team.
• Use Git and CI/CD processes; maintain documentation.
