Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join the Chinook Program supporting an Intelligence Community customer and evolving an application with real-world national security impact. You will work with an Agile team, guided by senior engineers, to develop, test, and deliver software components.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with modern tech stacks, CI/CD, and secure coding practices in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 2–4 years of experience, or a Master’s with less than 2 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, test, and deploy software for GEOINT mission under guidance of senior engineers.
• Implement features based on requirements and technical designs.
• Write clean, well-documented code and perform unit/integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with mission users and product managers to refine requirements.
• Use Git and CI/CD processes to manage delivery and automation.
• Maintain technical docs and development artifacts.
• Support deployment and sustainment activities for the application.
