Job summary

The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Junior Ski or Snowboard Instructor to support children’s programs and beginner lessons. You will assist instructors, help guests with gear, and contribute to a fun, safety-focused ski environment.

This role is ideal for motivated, flexible individuals with a high school diploma or GED who love working with the public, including children, and are willing to train with PSIA Education Staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; relevant experience or training accepted.
• Beginner-level skier or snowboarder required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; positive attitude.
• Safety-minded and able to take direction, comfortable working with the public, including children.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the class instructor and students during beginner and intermediate skiing/snowboarding lessons.
• Ensure safety of guests and associates at all times.
• Participate in instructor training opportunities with PSIA Education Staff.
• This position offers training to become a lead instructor for motivated individuals.
• Perform various tasks around the Snowsports Center as assigned.

What you will be doing

• Provide assistance to the class instructor and students during skiing/snowboarding beginner & intermediate lessons


• Ensure safety of guests and associates at all times


• Participate in instructor training opportunities with PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) Education Staff


• This position is a great opportunity for young adults to get the training required to become a lead instructor


• Perform a variety of tasks around the Snowsports Center as assigned

• Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required to work 2nd shift


• High school diploma or GED preferred; relevant experience or training accepted


• Beginner-level skier or snowboarder required


• Strong customer service and communication skills; positive attitude


• Safety-minded, able to take direction well, and comfortable working with the public, including children


• Willingness to assist with various duties around the chalet


• Capable of working in extreme weather conditions and lift 50 lbs.
