Job summary

Summit Line Construction, a Quanta Services company headquartered in Heber City, Utah, seeks a Junior Scheduler to support project controls across transmission, distribution, substation, and renewable energy projects in the Western U.S. The role emphasizes CPM schedules, data-driven updates, and close collaboration with field leadership.

The position requires 1–3 years in construction scheduling, a related bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and proficiency with Primavera P6 and Excel.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in construction project controls, scheduling, or a comparable support role.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field — OR equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Basic working knowledge of CPM scheduling methodology and schedule logic concepts.
• Foundational working knowledge of Primavera P6 or willingness to complete Summit Line Primavera P6 training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; ability to work with large data sets and perform basic schedule analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to travel up to 100% across project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project baseline schedules using CPM logic across transmission, distribution, substation, and renewable projects.
• Maintain and update project schedules weekly/monthly with progress, revised sequencing, and look-ahead windows.
• Build activity logic in Primavera P6 and link predecessors/successors to model field workflows.
• Support resource-loaded schedules aligning crew deployment with milestones and labor hours.
• Prepare delay analyses, TIAs, and schedule recovery plans under supervision.
