Training & Development:

At AEC, we take development seriously and want to make sure our people feel supported from day one. This role comes with a tailored training plan to help you get up to speed — and grow with the business.

You’ll spend time at our Manchester office getting to know different teams and learning how everything fits together. You’ll also work closely with our Sales Manager and Business Manager in Essex to build a strong understanding of our services and go out on site visits so you can see exactly what we do.

There will also be opportunities for further development as you progress — whether that’s through sales-specific training, industry qualifications, or simply building your experience on the job.

This role also includes uncapped bonus potential, so if you’re driven and proactive, there’s real opportunity to shape your own success!

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Sales Development: Identify and generate new business opportunities by prospecting potential clients in the field, on the telephone and via web.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing excellent customer service and action any concerns or queries in a timely manner.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients, articulating the value proposition of our products/services.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of company products/services and industry trends to effectively communicate value to clients. (1 st class training provided)
  • Territory Management: Manage and prioritise sales activities in your designated territory to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Reporting & Administration: Provide regular updates to the Sales Manager regarding sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends. Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, leads, and sales opportunities in the CRM system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing and resources, to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
  • Sales Targets: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in sales/telesales (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communicator — written and spoken
  • Confident, resilient, and ready to make cold calls
  • Naturally curious and quick to learn
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Full UK driving license & willingness to travel
  • Living in or close to Essex is a bonus
