Job summary

Americold is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Refrigeration Technician to perform maintenance and repair across the warehouse refrigeration systems. You will diagnose issues, replace components, and ensure compliance with safety standards, using LOTO/PSM procedures.

The role requires experience with various control systems, hazardous materials handling, and CMMS documentation. You will work on-site with flexible shifts and be part of a safety-conscious team in a cold storage environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of Industrial Refrigeration Maintenance experience.
• 3+ years Industrial Maintenance experience with relevant certifications (RETA, Garden City, EPA Universal).
• Must complete assigned Industrial Refrigeration and maintenance courses.
• Troubleshooting and repairs with differing control systems ALTA/Allen Bradley etc.
• HazMat training and certification required.
• Experience using Oracle CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Perform operation, repair and adjustment of refrigeration systems.
• Monitors system performance and identifies malfunctions.
• Replace components within refrigeration system adhering to LOTO and PSM.
• Perform basic pump out/evacuate refrigerant for maintenance.
• Conduct routine maintenance on warehouse equipment per OSHA standards.
• Test and calibrate HVAC equipment using standard instruments.
• Inspect work for compliance with blueprints, specs, and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment to determine root cause and corrective action.
