Job summary

Callaway Golf is seeking an Associate Prototype Technician to join our R&D prototype shop. You will assist in machining, fabrication, assembly, finishing, and inspection of prototype components, working with engineers and senior technicians to accelerate development cycles.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and an interest in CNC machining, with 0–2 years in a machine or prototype shop; familiarity with CAD/D drawings, and a willingness to learn new methods in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or cert preferred.
• 0–2 years in a machine shop or prototype environment preferred.
• Exposure to CNC machining is a plus.
• Welding/finishing experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Machining, fabrication, assembly, and finishing of prototype components per drawings.
• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders under supervision.
• Prepare materials, tooling, fixtures for prototype manufacturing
• Perform dimensional inspections with precision tools
• Assist with fitting, polishing, deburring, light assembly
• Support engineers to meet rapid prototype timelines
• Maintain build records and material tracking
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment
• Communicate project priorities with team
• Learn new machining technologies and processes
