Qualifications

• 4+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Prototype, R&D, or low-volume production experience.
• Reading engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
• Experience setting up and operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC centers.
• Editing and troubleshooting G-code.
• Understanding feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and machining fundamentals.
• Using precision inspection equipment and interpreting results.
• Strong problem-solving and communication with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Machine complex prototype and low-volume components using CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis centers.
• Interpret drawings, CAD models, and GD&T to determine machining strategies.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with design/manufacturing engineers to improve part manufacturability and reduce iterations.
• Program, edit, and optimize CNC programs and toolpaths to meet development timelines.
• Select tooling, workholding, and parameters for diverse materials.
• Perform first article and in-process inspections with precision metrology.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain tight tolerances and surface finishes.
• Support new process development, fixture design, and experiments.
• Document processes and results for knowledge sharing.
